When, and as, we see the need we implement preventive measures.
Our human rights policy commits us to respect human rights, including trade union rights. Harsh or inhumane treatment of any kind is not accepted.
Barpoint operates in accordance with Norwegian Law, conforming to the human rights regulations therein. Any employee or hired personnel will be treated in accordance with Norwegian Law and in accordance with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights by United Nations.
In business relationships we seek to prevent human rights violations directly linked to our business operations. Prior to the engagement of any new supplier, we will assess human rights implications.
Should we be made aware of that we are contributing to human rights violations, we will take steps to mitigate the situation. Should we be made aware of a risk of causing human rights violations, we seek to mitigate that risk. Identified risks shall be prioritized according to severity. Should we be made aware of severe breaches of human rights from a business partner beyond our involvement with that business, we will apply (reasonable) influence we may have to improve the situation.
If stakeholders or others bring forward information about adverse practices with respect to human rights related to our company, they will not be punished.
Our human rights policies, as stated in this document, are communicated as part of our Terms of Service going forward. They also represent our expectations for human rights standards of our business partners.
Barpoint has established a separate document titled “Barpoint Mobile AS Employment Policy” (in Norwegian). The document sets out Barpoint’s employment policy, including our respect for trade union rights, regulated wages and no-tolerance for forced labour, child labour and discrimination at work.
These policies also represent our expectations for employment standards of our business partners.
